Exploration Potential

Exploration Potential

The Koné Gold Project includes 1,801 sq.km of exploration permits, with an additional 458 sq.km of permit applications. The majority of this land package is underexplored with significant potential for multiple discoveries of additional gold deposits, all of which would be relevant as mill feed for the planned mill to be built adjacent to the Koné Deposit.

Unlocking the potential of this district is already underway with the upgrade and expansion of the Gbongogo Main deposit located 35km to the north of the Koné deposit. Montage plans on building a dedicated haul road to Gbongogo Main which will serve as a hub for future exploration along the Diouma-Gbongogo-Korotou Shear Zone, which is a major 14km strike length shear zone hosting multiple 100+ ppb anomalies as well as several areas with early drill results returning significant grades and widths from surface.

Montage benefits from economies of scale with the Koné deposit, leading to a very low expected process cost per tonne in the mill. This provides a significant advantage when evaluating district exploration targets, where satellites grading 1.5 g/t or higher can have a dramatic economic impact even when small in size. Montage looks forward to demonstrating the upside potential of this district in parallel will de-risking the KGP. Overtime, it is expected that multiple satellites will be supplementing mill feed at higher grades, boosting production, expanding margins and extending the overall project life for the benefit all of stakeholders.
