Fadiadougou and Batogo are the local villages, seven and five kilometres, respectively, from Montage's Koné Gold Project. Since 2017, Montage, through its subsidiary, Shark Mining, has implemented a number of initiatives to support both communities.
Fadiadougou Primary School No 3
Montage provided the building materials and the village provided the craftsmen and labour to build three classrooms that hold 154 pupils between the ages of 6 and 12.
Fadiadougou Water Supply Project
When Shark Mining arrived on site in late 2017 there was no reliable water supply in the village of Fadiaougou due to problems with the single well. It was 4km to the nearest source of clean water. The Company's drilling contractor Geodrill provided the borehole and Shark Mining provided the equipment and tanks to provide the village with a clean and reliable water supply.
